Ashley is a perfect blend of fun, funky, and elegant. We loved working with her and every time we met was a pleasure. It is no wonder her wedding can be summarized with one word – Wow!

This beautiful bride loves purple so we incorporated deep purple flowers in every element. Her bridal bouquet was entirely purple calla lilies with an ivory ribbon wrap. For her bridesmaids, we found picasso callas that perfectly complemented their plum gowns without getting lost. We wrapped the unique purple and white callas in a black ribbon, leaving the stems exposed.

We wired white mini orchards for hair pins adding to the elegant part of Ashley’s style. Justin wore a deep purple calls boutonier to match her bridal bouquet, and his groomsmen’s picaso calla boutonier paired with the bridemaids’ flowers.

The ceremony and reception were both held at the Hilton Netherlands Hall of Mirrors. Ashley slipped on a purple pair of converse to enjoy the party! Impressive arrangements adorned every table to reflect the majestic Hall of Mirrors. We created two different styles of centerpieces. The first was a tall candelabra with purple hydrangea, blue hydrangea, purple roses, purple kale, purple stock and green cymbidium orchids. For variety, we created a second style using a glowing lantern surrounded in a ring of purple hydrangea and purple roses.

Thanks to her photographer, Laura Leppert, for sharing her photos with Eden Floral Boutique.

Choosing a Valentine Bouquet

Posted on 1/31/2012 at 7:48:03 AM

Roses are unarguably the most common flower sent on Valentine’s Day. Sending a bouquet of roses to your Valentine is sure to send a message that she is special and loved. If you want your bouquet to say something more, consider these common meanings for the colors of roses:

White Roses – True love, purity of the mind and reverence
Pink Roses – Friendship or Sweetheart, admiration
Yellow Roses – Friendship, celebration and joy
Lilac Roses – Love at first sight and enchantment
Red Roses – Love and passion
Coral Roses – Desire
Peach Roses – Desire and excitement or appreciation
Orange Roses – Enthusiasm and desire
Bouquet of Red and Yellow Roses: Happiness and celebrations
Bouquet of Red and White Roses: Bonding and harmony

Whatever color you choose, a Valentine bouquet from Eden Floral Boutique is guaranteed to be completely original and breath taking. We never mass produce an arrangement that is meant to represent your unique relationship. We hand select the most beautiful flowers and create a gift that is sure to impress and delight.

Peggy & Robert

Peggy is a friend of ours, and it’s always special creating the wedding flowers for a friend. It is an honor to be trusted as a friend’s wedding florist. Seeing your friend in love is wonderful and helping her create the wedding style she deserves is amazing. We felt so much pride seeing Peggy, looking gorgeous and happy, as she carried a bridal bouquet we made.

Peggy and Robert were married at Saint Stephens Church, and the reception was celebrated at The Plantation Twin Oaks. Her bridal bouquet was designed with hot pink roses, white hydrangea, fuchsia peonies, hot pink mini gerberas, and green berries with ivory ribbon wrap. The bright and cheerful color pallet was perfect for the mood of the day.

The bridesmaid also carried colorful bouquets. They were made with hydrangea, roses, and gerbera daises. We wrapped the bridesmaids bouquets in a bright kiwi green ribbon. The flower girls carried ivory baskets with hot pink gerbera daisies. The boutonnieres were hot pink roses with an accent of green berries.

Stephanie & Mike

Stephanie had a beautiful summer wedding at Hyde Park Methodist Church. We loved working with her and her mom. They were both darling. We love to see a mom and daughter team work so well together. Stephanie was one of the happiest brides, so creating her wedding flowers was pure joy for us.

Stephanie wanted the classic, romantic bridal bouquet, with a touch of sparkle. We used all white calla lilies, hydrangeas and roses to create the beautiful, elegant bouquet, and used a rhinestone bandline to add the touch of modern fun Stephanie envisioned. Her bridesmaids carried large bouquets of white hydrangea with purple calla lilies. The touch of purple added a big pop of color that nicely complimented their plum bridesmaids gowns.

At Drees Pavilion, the reception was all glitz and style. It can be difficult to pull off glam and class, but Stephanie did it flawlessly. Eden Floral Boutique added to the ambiance by creating wedding centerpieces of white hydrangeas in square vases. We used pomegranate lux ribbon and silver rhinestone banding to amplify the mood.

Stephanie and Mike’s cake was made by Tracy Bellman atTres Belle Cakes.

Thanks to the wonderful wedding photographer, Sherry Barber, for sharing these beautiful photographs.

Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

mistletoe

With Justin Bieber’s hit Christmas album getting lots of radio play, your kids (and you) may have “Mistletoe” stuck in your head all month.

While we don’t have the Biebs in stock at our flower shop, we do have mistletoe. Mistletoe is a lovely plant with festive white berries. The make a beautiful accent to your Christmas centerpiece, or of course, can stand alone hanging from your ceiling.

You may know the tradition of hanging mistletoe from a doorway. If you get caught under it with someone, a kiss is demanded. Originally, people started hanging mistletoe in their homes for good luck against house fires. It would be left up all year and replaced every Christmas Eve. I am not sure how house fire prevention became kissing, but it certainly makes a more fun practice!

Ask Eden for a mistletoe ball and start a new tradition in your home. Just make sure your twin daughter knows hanging mistletoe does not guarantee a kiss from Justin.

thanksAs we head into the incredibly busy Holiday Season, we at Eden Floral Boutique would like to take a moment to thank our amazing clients. We are so thankful every time someone chooses us to be their florist. It is a joy to see that even during times of economic stress, people still make an effort to celebrate each other with flowers. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be included in so many of our client’s most important occasions. With you, our client, we’ve celebrated love – both new and lasting with weddings, anniversaries, and engagements. We’ve thanked mothers and sisters. We’ve welcomed new births and honored lives well lived. We’ve been touched by the thoughtful, kind messages that are sent along with our bouquets asking forgiveness, thanking a friend, offering sympathy, and expressing love. It is truly a blessing to work with all of you. You inspire us to continue to create unique, beautiful arrangements that convey your feelings. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate your life’s moments, both big and small. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Yangquio & Billy

yangquioOccasionally we have the honor of being the florist for a small wedding, as was the case with Billy and Yangquio. Yangquio asked only for a bridal bouquet for her outdoor wedding at 5 mile chapel. We consider creating one wedding bouquet just as amazing as creating one of our huge center pieces for Music Hall. With much care, we created her bridal bouquet with white phalaenopsis orchids, dalias, and dusty pink garden roses. We wrapped the stems with a black ribbon. The result was a beautiful compliment to Yangquio’s fun and modern wedding. We are so delighted when someone choses us to create their wedding flowers. Whether it is one arrangement or hundreds, we know our wedding flowers will make lasting memories.

Thank to Rachel Spears for sharing her captured memories in these lovely photos.

Tim & Elizabeth

timandelizabethElizabeth was one of our most elegant and romantic brides last spring.  She chose shades of purples and pinks to create a blissful wedding pallet as beautiful as she is.  For her bridal bouquet, we used pale pink peonies and tulips, white calla lilies, and white and pink roses.  We used a white satin ribbon wrap to compete the stylish bouquet.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of varied purple shades.  Purple hygrenda, lavendar roses, and purple callas created a beautiful bouquet that complimented the bold purple bridesmaids gowns.

More deep purple hues created romance at the reception.  Arrangements of purple roses and purple hydrangea adorned the reception hall.

Thanks to Lauren Difulvio for allowing us to share her beautiful photographs.
